50th Anniversary Celebration Charity Dinner

On 23rd March 2015, exactly 50 years after the land at Beezon Fields was purchased to build the youth centre the Kendal Lads & Girls Club held a charity dinner at Kendal College Restaurant.  This was to celebrate the many activities that have taken place over the last 6 decades and highlight the   The achievements of all those who have kept the youth centre open for business, meeting the needs of young people for over 50 years.

On the night lovely four course meal was prepared and served by Kendal College Students, all the guests enjoyed the good food and good company.  The entertainment for the evening was supplyed by The entertainment was supplied by the Brewery Youth Theatre, Kendal Majorettes and Haydon Barnes Performing Arts Student with Kendal College singing a medley of songs in the bar and Town Cryer Richard Matthews as Master of Ceremonies kept the evening running smoothly.

The evening was a great success raising over £4,000 towards a new boiler and heating system ensuring the Kendal Lads & Girls Club remains open and available for the young people of Kendal in years to come.
