Skate Jam & Open Day

On Saturday 27th June a Skate Event was held at the Kendal Lads & Girls Club where Rubicon held competitions for BMX, Scooters and Skate boarders through out the day. A good turn out meant lots of prizes were won and a great time was had by all.

Also during the day, Richard Rhodes the Cumbria Police & Crime Commissioner visited the youth centre to see what was on offer for young people in the South Lakes. The High Sheriff of Cumbria Sam Rayner and Brian Ferguson the first youth leader at the centre in 1965 planted an apple tree to mark this 50th Anniversary.

Ex members of the Kendal Lads & Girls Club club also dropped in to see the building and tell of their experiences. It was great to see them and hear all the stories of fun and challenge.
